Google SafeSearch can help you filter out inappropriate or explicit content and images from your Google Search results. While SafeSearch isn’t 100% accurate, it can help filter out results containing pornography, violent content and more.

SafeSearch is turned on automatically for users identified as under 18.

How to turn on Google SafeSearch

Step 1 – From the Google homepage, click Settings > Search Settings at the bottom of the page.

Step 2 – In the Search Settings and under Content, click SafeSearch.

Then, select whether you would like to Filter out content, Blur inappropriate content or keep SafeSearch Off.

Your choice is automatically saved.
